Feeling stressed out? Tossed and turned all night? Sluggish
in the afternoon? Then, take a nap. According to a new study reported about in
the July 2015 issue of Oxygen magazine (www.oxygenmag.com) a brief 30 minute
nap can reduce stress hormone levels, assist immune function, increase
productivity and increase alertness. In addition, research presented to the Endocrine Society
(and reported in the same issue of Oxygen magazine) stated that losing 30
minutes of sleep consistently night after night can cause significant weight
gain. So the next time you feel a bit hassled, find a quiet spot,
lie down and snooze for half an hour. And, do your best to get a full night’s
sleep every night - your body, mind and spirit will thank you.
Until Next Time,
